AniaPB on "Widgets NOT displaying after a wordpress update (wordpress 3.6.1)"

Hi,
I have purchased a new theme (Geraldine from BluChic) last night and I was playing around with it. Everything was going smoothly (almost too smoothly). I created my home widgets 1, 2, 3 and they were displaying fine. I set my footer widgets too. I saw that there was a wordpress update available, so I run it. It looks like the home widgets are gone!!!! The footer widgets are displaying ok. I checked on the dashboard in the widget area and the widgets are there ... they are just NOT DISPLAYING. I tried to re-load the theme, I tried another theme (kiosk) and some of the widgets were not displaying too! Makes me think it's a wordpress issue and nothing to do with the template. Please help! I need those widgets back, they are one of the features of this template. Surely others are having similar issues?? Any help will be greatly appreciated!
