Hi, I know there have been countless posts about this so I apologize, but I am fairly new to anything involving website creation and suddenly wish I paid more attention during Computer Science in school. I started a domain and paid for hosting at Website Palace.com. Since then, I used Wordpress and Theme Twenty Twelve to create our first website. I switched a little while ago to Twenty Fourteen and it seemed fine, and was previewing fine as well, then there was a lag and the next time I previewed I received that "error establishing a database connection" prompt.
The domain/wp-admin link brings up the larger error:
"Error establishing a database connection
This either means that the username and password information in your wp-config.php file is incorrect or we can't contact the database server at des1333710371566.db.12144241.hostedresource.com. This could mean your host's database server is down."
I contacted website palace and the person on phone said all tests came back normal but the techs are working on my ticket and I have to await their response.
Is there anything I can do on my end or do I have to wait for website palace? Is it definitely an issue on their end or can it be something else?
Sorry again since these topics have been posted, but if anyone has a solution, I would kind of need a step by step answer rather that the "check the wp-config.php" ones bc couldn't find that on my SQL admin page.
Thanks for your patience.
