Our website was hacked and malicious content hosted on a site under our control. An improperly secured file upload script on the account was responsible for this issue.
My web hosting company Hostgator has removed all of the malicious content from the account at this time but we now need to re-upload this site.
Fortunately, I had downloaded a 980 MB file with our websites back-up information, which was automatically saved on my harddribve with the name: "WPOnlineBackup_Full.zip.enc"
The problem, is that 4 different people have tried, but been unable to UNZIP the "WPOnlineBackup_Full.zip.enc" File that was downloaded. We tried on Macs and PC, without success.
Hostgator has put a copy of WordPress 3.6.1 on the sendaathletics.com domain and hasd connected it to one of the multiple databases with a siteurl value set to sendaathletics.com for now. They also installed the Online Backup plugin.
BUT THEY SAY THAT THE backup in question needs a decryption key to decrypt this file in the http://sendaathletics.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=wponlinebackup§ion=backup section of the dashboard.
WHY CAN'T WE UNZIP AND DECRYPT THE FILE USING WINRAR, WINZIP MAC OR ANY OTHER OF THE POPULAR PROGRAMS?
Anyone else has had problems unzipping a back-up file?
PLEASE HELP, OUR SITE HAS BEEN DOWN for almost 3 days now....!
