heidimitrushi on "[Plugin: Redirection] Redirect to Home Page Error"

I have used the Redirection plugin successfully in the past. Yesterday, I created a redirect that goes to the home page. Suddenly, the home page wouldn't load. Does this plugin not work for redirects to the home page?

I had to remove the redirect, deactivate and reactivate the plugin and then purge the cache for it to go back to normal.

Please help!
