focallocal on "existing backup preventing restore and backups not fully completeing"

my backups rarely store the full site and it has lost me a lot of work.

parts of the site are not backing up at random and i get this error when i try to restore what is backed up: "Error: An existing unremoved backup from a previous restore exists: /home/oliveboa/public_html/wp-content/plugins-old

Restore failed..."

is there anything else i should include?

anyone have any ideas what might be causing this?
