Moyer-Toensing on "Login errors"

I am trying to activate the Akismet plugin for my blog. When I follow through to their site and enter in my wordpress login information, it tells me that my information is incorrect. I attempted to reset my password, hoping this would help, but it says that my account doesn't exist! - It clearly does, because I accessed the Akismet site through my wp dashboard!
Sometimes when trying to login to wp, it does the same thing/doesn't recognize the username/password combination that I KNOW is correct.
