I am getting this error when trying to run the installer.php. I have tried to use UTF8_general_ci (which is the default) and still no success. I noticed that the original database is also set to this collation.
I have a whole mess of these:
**ERROR** database error write 'Data too long for column 'published' at row 1'.....
