I have searched and cannot find answer.
I cannot get into my WP admin at all after upgrading from 3.8.3 to 3.9.
I see a blank page with the word "error" at the top left.
I get messages from iThemes Security of a lockout notification of my site with my ip address due to too many attempts to access a file that does not exist.
I have the old stuff backed up. I can see it through the host server control panel. I also have it backed up as a zip file elsewhere (on my Dropbox).
I have looked at https://codex.wordpress.org/Updating_WordPress#Manual_Update and the process outlined in the reference pages seems very complicated.
I cannot deactivate plugins.
The download link is for 3.9. I did find the page for older versions: http://wordpress.org/download/release-archive/
I just want to go back to the way it was. This is very upsetting.
Please help!
