When I try to check the "exclude directory" button for a directory called "manufacturing" (or any directory), I get the following error in a modal:

An error occurred while applying the filter for "manufacturing"I thought it could be a permissions issue, but all directories are 0755 and all files are 0644.
I get the same result for files as well as directories, whether in summary view or browser view.
Hello, I am hoping someone can help me. I've spent hours on this today, trying to problem solve an out of memory error when trying to install a plugin for Simple Press, and although I've paid them for premium support, they are not helping me problem solve this.
When I go to install a plugin for the plugin, I get this out of memory error:
Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 76808192) (tried to allocate 53 bytes) in ****/wp-includes/capabilities.php on line 778
But I checked my server, and I have 2GB of RAM. Searching, I found suggestions to edit .htaccess, php.ini, and wp-config, which I did.
When I edit .htaccess my site crashes. I created the php.ini and put this in it:
<? phpinfo(); ?>
memory_limit = 128MI then put the php.ini in my wp-admin folder.
I also added the following code just above the last entry in my wp-config:
define('WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '128M');
If anyone has any suggestions on what I could try next, I'm all ears!

I'm trying to ban a certain country from accessing my site. I've pasted the relevant IP addresses but get the following error:
101.0.4.0/255.255.252.0 is not a valid address as it has been white listed.
I get this on almost every IP address I post except 10.
Any idea why ?
I have been receiving this error when trying to view my site.
Searches of the net suggest this is a spam bot attack/hack.
Using this as a clue I looked for recent changes which might indicate malicious activity. A recent file has been changed:
wp-content/plugins/updraftplus/addons/functions.php
Renaming this file functions.php.bak caused the site to come alive again, a miracle!
Have others seen this error recently. Is this a spam bot?

I updated to Wordpress 4.0 this morning. When I tried to broadcast a reply to a tweet, it didn't post.
No error. Just never showed up in Twitter. I ad to copy the shortlink from the post and use Twitter to post it.
I did get replies (on Twitter) which I approved (in Wordpress) that show up, but the content doesn't. blog comments.
Any help appreciated.
Hi there, I updated to 4.0 and am now reinstalling the previous version.
Here is what I noticed.
Stuck in visual editor. Temporary fix is run the debugger.
Jquery not working. Many errors and conflicts.
I did the usual plugins off and theme to twentyfourteen
The main Error I encounter in the console was
TypeError: 'undefined' is not a function (evaluating 'HomeMader()')
Tried it in safari and chrome.
I hope there is a fix soon, I really like the other enhancements :)

The problem now is that now I can't upgrade the plugin, I lost the old plugin!
The plugin nextgen-gallery/nggallery.php has been deactivated due to an error: Plugin file does not exist.
I lost all the photos that were inside the galleries!!!
How can I recover all the data at least!

Hi. I have a client who's site we updated to a new URL. It was jjswellnessrevolution.com and now its jjswellness.com. We have the old redirecting to the new. The Publicize feature on Jetpack wont activate and logs us out when we try to connect her to Facebook. I see another thread with similar issue, but not sure what fix was put into place or if its something we can change on our own? Thanks for your help!

Currently I'm using osTicket (v1.9.x) and Key4ace osTicket Bridge (v1.2.2) on my site.
I have face 2 issue that I can't solve myself even looking at the support forum threads.
The 1st issue is whenever any user created a ticket on the osTicket the admin did not receive any mail notification and whenever the admin replies the tickets the user did not received any mail notification as well. So is there any documentation on how to setup the mail settings?
The 2nd issue is in the wordpress tickets>setting> the support center status are always offline even I set it to online and click the save settings. All the field I fill in will become null again and the status will goes back to offline after the pop up "Stand by while your Settings are being updated..." finished load.
Can I get any documentation that list out how to setup the ticket settings on WordPress.

I recently ran afoul with this nasty bug, which plagued my WP WooCommerce installation. Using Mystile / WooCommerce as a shop template, did a localization to retailer's language.
I updated recently into WP 4.0, and no sooner did I do that than all hell broke loose. Uploading new media images would freeze the system up, and I'd end up with literally a thousand duplicate ghost images. These 'ghosts' don't show up in the Uploads folder of my WP installation- even removing the folder alltogether from the server seems to preserve this ghost files, most likely on my hosting, somewhere. Current tally of these corrupt files is at 3 304 files, total.
I finally managed to get uploads to work again, but I'm still stuck with a myriad of ghosts in the Media Library, which cannot be deleted- I keep getting two error messages, either stating the file has already been deleted or that there has been an error, without further info about the nature or code of said error.
Absolutely vexing. Any ideas on how to fix this, short of going nuclear and starting from scratch?

I'm moving my site from local to live, but i've had some issues with connecting to my new database. I've also tried a "clean" wp install and it still wont connect to database.
I am 100% sure I've entered the right database name, address and password.
I dont know if this is relevant, but I've cleaned the domain from ExpressionEngine and the database I'm going to use is the same that was once used with EE. (I have deleted all the tables from the database)

I've just installed WP 4 for my old website. New errors appeared after installation:
PHP Error log says:

I've checked mysql, backupdb_wp_lstat missing. But how should i know what cause this problem? Or what plugin etc. needs this table? This caused by an old plugin ?

Unable to add media nor edit privacy in posts. Those buttons started to not work after in upgraded to version 4.0.
