I created a wordpress site and only have a back-up of all the public-html folder files. The client changed hosts without giving me notice and I didn't do a back-up of the database files before the move to the new hosts. The client has a dispute with previous hosts and can't gain access to the old servers to recover the database files. There weren't many posts in the blog section yet. The main concern is the theme customisations that we applied and the pages we created for the site. Is there a way to recover the wordpress site without the database file?
I replaced the public_html folder on the new host server with the backed-up public_html folder of the original site. And it is giving me the: "Error establishing a database connection" error.
Please let me know if anyone has any advice or recommendations on this issue.
